so funny...today i was reading a review on a book i want to get about natural childbirth and how to cope with the labor and deal with it all. and a big part of the book is prenatal yoga. apparently it shows different exercises and talks a lot about how it prepares you for birth and helps you through it. anyways...any recommendations? i think it sounds really great!!

well, if there are any prenatal classes in your area, i'd suggest going to one so that you have a teacher there who's qualified to support you through your practice--as it will change throughout the pregnancy. (each trimester there are some do's and don't's, as far as what's good for you!)

as far as DVDs, i've never been in the market, but i LOVE this woman named shiva rea as a vinyasa teacher, and she has a prenatal dvd out: http://www.amazon.com/Prenatal-Yoga-Shiva-Rea/dp/B0000BYNMH/ref=pd_bxgy_d_text_c

she's a dancer/surfer/yogini and is beautiful; she has a really soothing voice.

also, your library may have some DVDs to check out so you could test some before buying? but really, i'd recommend going to a class first so that you have a solid understanding of the poses before doing it at home with a DVD. if i run across some other websites or DVDs i will send them your way! :)
